Gf had medical done while on the IEC conditional acceptance. It did not go so well. The doctor could not give her any results and said they would be sending everything to the CIC. I will say that it is not a health risk to Canadians in any way and is very unlikely to put any strain on the medical system. She will be fully insured anyway. We are worried the CIC agent will not see it that way though when they check the application though, as the Doctor authorized to do the check said "you may have to come back for another appointment and do not book your flight yet". The funny thing is that she is from a country that doesn't even need a medical. When she did the CIC questionnaire she decided to pick a job as a back up in case it was hard to find work in her first choice for employment. That selection made it necessary for her to get a medical. After doing research we decided that we didn't think she would have any issues during the medical and it would be easier to do now rather than later. That was a mistake and we are worried that she will be rejected all together now because of her health. It's annoying because we are just trying to do everything properly and by the book while planning ahead. Now I think we have 4 options:
1)Get a new compass account and do a new CIC questionnaire where she doesn't take the work option that requires a medical. Then send a whole new application in. The problem here may be that CIC might get a medical check for her and a different application that is not tied to that check. This could look off.
2)Use the same compass account but do a different questionnaire where she doesn't choose the work option that requires a medical. This may be a problem again with CIC getting a medical for her that isn't necessary.
3)Send a letter of explanation and proof of insurance and continue with the current application. Maybe if we send a letter explaining that she didn't need a medical to begin with but we felt confident so we went ahead and she gets insurance covering her for the full year we could send it in with all the other documents and hope it all works out.
4)Do nothing and hope it all works out.
Does anyone have another option?
How does all even work? Would the CIC only get her results if we kept on with the current application?
Please provide input or someone to consult on this matter. We have only a few days until she needs to submit for stage 2. I have spent hours on this forum and other sites looking for answers.
