New IRCC portal

Hi everyone,

I am looking for advice on the new IRCC portal. My friend used the new IRCC portal to apply for her visitor visa instead of GCkey, without checking the eligibility. She has given her biometrics and submitted all the documents as requested in the portal. I wanted to know if this will be a problem for her visa decision? Please advice.

She says there was an eligibility questionnaire while applying for visa through IRCC portal that said "visiting a family or a friend". Her purpose is to visit a friend. So she went ahead with the visa from that portal.

Yes, we were advised by an immigration consultant to do so as well. We reapplied through GCkey and still waiting.

my brother appliying with new portal unite with family , inside that in add member , he added his spouse . I am Canadian citizen , and my brother is my extended family . For my sister in law we selected the option to visit family member not listed or friend ?
Is it correct ? My sister in law is eligible to apply right ? She is fully vaccinated and coming with her husband to visit me

Your brother can apply with his family to visit you in Canada as uniting with immediate family member in Canada

However, each one of the applications [ over 18 years] should show their own funds, home ties and justify the purpose of visit.
