Yes, they were withdrawn on Dec 19.

Raised a webform and this is what they replied

“ Most applicants who submitted temporary resident applications after September 7, 2021, can expect to be contacted within 14-30 business days. However, due to high volumes some applications are currently taking longer than 30 days to process. In this case, we are grateful for your patience in waiting to hear from us.”

Second Application: Sep 18, 2021 on GC Key

Third Application: Nov 4, 2021 on IRCC Portal

PPR received on third application on Dec 24, 2021. The first applications were withdrawn on Dec 19, 2021.

Hi Everyone, it's so good to see October applications are slowly moving and getting final decision.

I have a quick question, I applied for visitor visa for my spouse (resident of India) via new portal on October 25th. Biometrics previously completed and updated immediately.

On Dec 18th, I re-applied for visitor visa using new portal (as Oct applications were not moving at that time).

Will IRCC still process previous application submitted on Oct 25 or I just have to wait in line for application submitted on December 18th?

Did you hear back? I have also applied on Oct 25th

applied for parents visitor visa( India)
First application: October 2020(GC key),
biometric: 14th Sep 2021,
second application: Oct 29 2021(portal),
current status: submitted
biometric reflected on both application and no update since.
Can my dad renew his passport at this time as he has only 11 months left on it ! I am in dilemma please help if anybody had been in this kind of situation

Hi Guys,

I had applied for my parents visitor visa application back in August 2021 and received BVL and PPR recently. My timelines are as given below.

Applied using old CIC portal - 16th August, 2021
Biometrics completed - 15th September, 2021

Re applied using new IRCC account - 16th November, 2021
BVL + PPR received - 14 December 2021

Had no updates from IRCC/CIC for a long time after applying in CIC portal!! Received PPR in almost 30 calendar days after applying through IRCC portal.

Thank you I know it is really frustrating for people who applied using old cic portal. For almost 2 months I was in dilemma whether I should re apply using IRCC portal. I am glad I did that.

Hello! Congratulations on receiving the visa.
I reapplied for my mother supervisa on the new portal on Oct 8th and haven’t received anything. The old application didn’t get withdrawn either. It’s still sitting there and there was no confirmation of cancellation. I don’t know what to do. Should I reapply again?
