New Instructions from IRCC for applications before 7th Sep 2021

has anyone applied for their 2nd trv application from Inside canada after 7th september and have received ppr?

My first application was done on March 24th but no ppr yet so want to check if re-applying will help or not

So I just got an email from IRCC advising that I resubmit my sister’s visa application through the portal. I had applied for her visitor visa on July 14, 2021 and submitted the travel exemption webform for “extended family members” on October 2nd.

So now I’m worried because there was a ghost update on her GCKey last Tuesday. If she’s close to a decision and I resubmit now is it gonna affect her application or timeline? Should I reapply through GCKey since it seems people are getting responses faster on there. Thank you!

Unique case where IRCC is requesting... You go ahead and apply as they suggested. Dont withdraw the old one.. Once they see the new one they will wihdraw the old and automatically new one will get approved...

Hi When you applied second time, did biometrics get updated immediately?

1st applied for my parents on 19th May 21.
Biometrics done on 6th August 2021.
Re applied through portal on 13th September 21

Yes the biometrics were updated next day of submission

Many congrats! Does the PPR mention any time limit for submitting the passport?

Yes 30 days from the issue date of the ppr letter.

Finally I got PPR request for my parents today October 11. Everyone who applied during my same timeline should expect good news soon.
My parents are in India, chandigarh. Any idea how much time it will take now for visa stamping?

Yes haha, trust me it’s a very unique case indeed. I’ve done as they suggested, now keeping fingers crossed and hoping they approve the second application. Thank you

Applied first application for supervisa for parents: May 28th 2021
Second application: October 7 but my mistakenly submitted visit visa application
Third application: October 7th supervisa application

But already sent webform to cic mentioning abt the mistake and told them to remove the second application as its a visitor and i want a supervisa application

Today, the first application, both parents got correspondence letter and the eligibility for some reason now showing

• Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.

Before it was " We are reviewing your eligibility" for the first application

When I applied for a visa on the new portal, There was a question, ‘I want to apply for a’ and in the options there was ‘visitor or supervisa’, which was a single combined option.
How did you differentiate between visitor and supervisa?

Hello how did you fill the IMM0006E did you print it out sign and notarize or you digitally signed it online

First, fill in the details and print it as the form is secured and doesn't allow you to sign electronically in most instances. Then scan it so it becomes an unsecured pdf document. Then, ask the Applicant to do electronic sinature. Then take that form without having Invitor Signature and Date to Notary.

Notary will fill their details and sign/stamp. Then you will be asked to sign and date in front of them. Then, you will send that completed form to the applicant to attach.

How did you differentiate between visitor and supervisa?

Did you filled the full application ? In subsequent questions they do ask the duration of the visit. If its greater than 6 months, it is qualified as super visa.

There is no instruction for Super Visa but IRCC has recently confirmed to one of my knowns to re-apply Super Visa if they want the application to be processed faster (30 working days for Visit and 8 weeks for Super Visa). Pre Sep 7 applications will be processed as per Queue that is what most of the visa offices are replying back.
