Hi, I would like to get some information and confirmation regarding income requirement for spousal sponsorship in Quebec.
I currently have a closed work permit and working in Quebec, and in a common law relationship with a Canadian citizen. My partner currently does not have a job and does not have an income of her own but we would like to apply for spousal sponsorship so I can get PR and an open work permit. Is she eligible to sponsor me without an income of her own? I have a job and I'm currently supporting the both of us and I can show proof of income but I am the principal applicant and she's the sponsor. We don't have kids and I'm the only person being sponsored.
A year or so ago I thought that there was no income requirement but based on this link it seems like there's an income requirement even for sponsoring a common law spouse. Is this correct?

Hoping to hear your thoughts on this. Thank you!
