Can anyone explain what are going to be the new rules for FSW regarding the degree/ academic/education credentials. Is the degree/diploma credentials going to become necessary.

What would the occupation list for the application.

Are 29 occupations going to be repeated?

Or any one with any occupation in Noc Canada can apply?

Yes - there will be an occupation list. This list hasn't been released yet by CIC.

Your occupation will have to appear on the list for you to be able to apply.

Do I need to write IELTS?

i'm planning to process my application through a company .Am I elgible for FSW or QSW?

Hi, I am also a first time applicant. But just wanted to let you know that "YES" you need to write the IELTS exam and get the minimum threshold of score as per the CLB. And about eligibility for FSW and QSW, I am applyling for FSW (I have close to 8 yrs of QA experience and working in the US close to 5 yrs). Not sure of QSW, I guess you need to have sponsorship to apply for QSW.

But first step - Write IELTS. Get police certifs from your home country and USA. Get all other educational docs assessed by the credentials assessment agency from canada and then apply as a FSW.

As of today, I am waiting for the Education credentials assessment agency to be announced. Also, I am going by the latest NOC 2011 list. You may google the "Noc 2011 canada".

Check CIC's website for the eligibility criteria for both FSW and QSW. It might not be wise to spend money on immigration agents right now since you don't even know if you are eligible. Details about FSW eligibility has not been announced yet by CIC, so you will need to wait. Do some work and find out if you are eligible for QSW before you throw your money to immigration agents.

you need to wait for cic news,more so,you should do online assessment to know your status.you can not apply to quebec,if your french is not good.if you need an agent to guide you.you may contact david cohen...

I read one news on google news which was stating that this time the occupation range for fsw would be wide, there would be number of occupation categories, almost suiting all many frontline occupation. But the evaluation or credentials would be made mandatory. Unfortunately I have lost that link.

Can anyone focus on authencity of this news?

I have also read something about the credential evaluation to be made mandatory, so those who are planning for new fsw after 4th may wouldn't be the bad idea to apply well in advance for credential evaluation. As per my knowledge there would be the occupation list as per latest requirement and the employment scenario there in Canada. I think Kenney also stated something like this as someone has quoted above that you can't get more points for the occupation which is not in demand.

The confusion is that if the person is qualified for both the programs fsw as well as qsw, where he/she give the first preference.? which program would be more fast, coz as per my knowledge and remark qsw is absolutely slow program and specially when applying from India. I have read many comments in the forum where people are waiting for the correspondance regarding interview or csq since 2 to 3 years.

Dear Reena

New occupation list , intake level and education assessment agencies will be announced by April 20,2013.
They are delaying this systematically so that applications come in their system / at CIC come in late May or by mid June.
This will help them in clearing a large portion of backlog in 2013 , and completing review of all pending applications.
This is what minister has indicated on many forums
Their credibility is at stake , and they want to clear all backlog so that when Minister stands for next PM , he has credibility and efficiency against his profile , for the job assigned to him.

Dear Sunil

These are rumor's , wait what comes out from CIC official web page. I believe that max intake level would be around 20 to 25 thousand applications.
