For an email enquiry ND consulate responded after 5 days saying that the Visa was sent by registered mail on 19 Jan, 10
The longest wait in the app process for us was Visa issuance, (they had the PP for 40 days), thatz very long wait, any ways, hope this helps for you all.

Imp: Online status has not been changed as of today to decision made, it still says in process although the visa was issued and mailed.

Justchill, you are lucky that New Delhi issued you a visa so quickly. I am waiting from Nov. 6/09 to hear some news about my file.

Just wondering did u receive a letter from CHC - New Delhi giving u a file number and acknowledging that they have started working on your file? This file number should start with a letter and be followed by some numbers


Also out of curiousity what type of job does your spouse have in Canada and how long has he/she been living here? How long were u and your spouse together before he/she returned back to Canada to sponsor u? Also how did u meet your spouse and what type of job do u have in India and where in do u live?

Oh and what type of proof of relationship did u inculde with your forms?

CHC ND doesn't send out acknowledgement letters for spousal applicants. You can check the status online with ecas which will tell you when they started working on your file and where you can also see the file #.
