I am permanent resident, can i go to india for a month or not? It's so frustrating :( to live by myself for so long
Absolutely fine. You can live in India as long as you want. I confirmed with consultant before I departed from Canada. I came on two months vacations. And with the grace of the God, file has been approved today according to MP.

I have also been wanting to go and was indeed looking forward to celebrate Diwali in India but after talking to different cic agents 2-3 times I want to stay in Canada for major part of app processing and leave around the end when we will be expecting a decision just to avoid any kind of risk and by the way I want to leave for 4-5 months not just 1-2 months

Nice
But staying for that long during sponsorship app can be risky if your are permanent resident , however 1-2 month vacation is no problem at all for sure

Sorry nothing related to my case but who is MP and how can they tell about app status ? And how do you apply to know about file from them?

MP means Member of Parliament of your district
Hey do you think of anything why it took so long for your application? I mean when pa’s eligibility passed ? Coz without interview it doesn’t take that long except long security check
