I believe when you get your passport back you will also get Confirmation of Permanent Resident letter. That is your travel document.

They will send you the COPR with the stamped passport.

PRTD is not applicable to you. It's for already existing permanent residents who have lost their PR card and cannot reenter Canada. This is a temporary document using which they can reenter once. You will receive your passport with the single-entry immigrant visa stamped on it. You will also receive two copies of the Confirmation of Permanent Residence (COPR). When you land here, you will hand over one copy to CBSA and keep the other one. Take good care of it as its the actual proof of PR status (not the PR card that you will get later!). You will need it to qualify for CPP in old age and other benefits, so keep it safe!

Instructions would be given in your PPR letter that need to be followed. In my PPR letter no biometrics were mentioned and even while submitting the passport no biometrics were asked for
