My husband did MP enquiry and got the following response:


Below are the details we received regarding your case.


Application was received May 8th, 2017- with a 12 month processing time

On June 30th, 2017 the file was sent to the New Delhi office

CIC has received all the documents which you have sent in and nothing else is needed

The medicals have been completed and passed

Criminality check also has been completed and passed

The eligibility check is currently in progress and under review

The security check is still pending.

My background check started on 27 February,2017. Since then I neither got any pre arrival mail nor decision made...I didn’t understand the pattern of NDVO on which they are processing the file..early May applicants are still waiting and late May applicants are getting DM..it has been 8 months for my file in NDVO I don’t know which kind of security check they are performing

Thanks everyone in the forum for all the support. Our wait is over. Received passport today!!! It’s valid until June 21.

U r a permanent resident of Italy? I wonder why they sent ur file to new delhi instead of italian visa office :/ i get u r an indian resident but according to the website they usually send it to the nearest visa office for ur current residence? Wtf r they doing :/ also im guessing u sent indian Pcc as well! U shud send lots of emails to them.

Yes, I sent indian pcc too. I asked my representative about this, she said as I’m italian pr but having indian nationality that’s why they sent my application in nvdo.

Only thing i notice different in ur app is they asked u for a medical after AOR2? What’s up with that? :/ I think u will get an update soon since ur medical will expire in May. Hope the best for u

Exactly what I was thinking, many applicant got medical and pcc request first but in my case I got aor2 first and medical and pcc afterwards( requested by nvdo)

Did you try contacting NDVO to find out what is causing the delay as it is 13 months now?
My husband is a March applicant and within a week his application will exceed the 12 month processing time as well.

Yeah I did MP inquiry, it wasn’t useful. Now I have sent case specific inquiry, hope they reply to my inquiry soon
