My husband got his passport back today with stamp, our immigration lawyer told him he has to carry $12474 worth canadian dollars with him in a form of DD or travellers cheque. How true is that? During my time of landing there was no such obligations.

I only know he should not have more than $10,000 cash but i don't think there's any kind of obligations on what you carry maybe he's saying that because of custom headaches. Anyways congrats he got his passport.

I had called once and an agent answered the call..She asked me about my query and as soon as I told her about immigration,she transferred the call to an answering machine...the answering machine as expected gives an automated response and tells you to check the status of your application online..

For us it was 25 days...for the PP to come back...usually it takes max 10 days...bt idk why it took so long..out of frustration we wrote and email to the delhiimmigration...that we need the passports back..lol..and they sent it the same day..
