I've been meaning to ask this question as I've seen a few other's mention telephone interviews. Is NDVO doing relationship interviews via telephone rather than in person or is a telephone interview for something else? Thanks.

They do interviews both ways. They can call PA and ask relationship questions or can schedule a personal interview at embassy.

Thank you for the response. It would be easier in my case if my husband had a phone interview, should one be required (hopefully not) as it would cost him money and time off work to travel from Chennai to New Delhi. But the interviewer wouldn't be able to see body language over the phone (unless it's done via Skype). Anyway hopefully an interview won't be required.

I did a search but couldn't find anything, hopefully someone here knows the answer, if not I'll call IRCC when I get back from India. My husband's (who I'm sponsoring) mom passed away suddenly on Tuesday. Do we need to let IRCC know because parental information is provided on a couple of the forms? Thanks.
