How many days does ndvo take to stamp Visa...we hv nt yet heard bck for passport collection...since 12 th feb we deposited it at vfs...ANY COMMEMTS

Did you have to pay any duty on the Gold while entering Canada ? I presume we are only allowed to carry Gold worth less than $10000..

Also, Do we need to show the "letter head of any authorized jeweler and stamped" at the Indian airport or only declare ad show the letter if asked at the Canadian Port of entry?

My gold value was less than $ 10000 and i did not pay any duty.I am not sure of the amount exceeding it. But i think first time everything is duty free. Nothing is to be shown at the Indian airport. You have to declare it to the landing officer you are assigned to. They will never ask for it.

Not that I know of. But once you’re at the physicians clinic you can ask them.

Thanks for replying. Is this a part of some standard procedure? I am asking because I am leaving to visit India in a week and want to know if my wife can come with me when I return in April.

I believe there is as my husband had to have a test for his tattoos when he did his medical at the end of December. There was an extra cost but I don't know what it is.

If youre getting it done in india the fees would be 2500-3000 extra for the tattoo. I had to pay extra during my medical for a tattoo

more like 6 more months of wait (august may be)
gc key status of background check that says "we are processing your background check.." means background check in process.
the one you are indicating there with Jan 15 date is probably the one from your ECAS which is basically your AOR2- when it got to New Delhi.
The AOR2 you are indicating there of Jan 9 could be a file transfer email to Sponsor?
