seems like this due date was common for all steps.. like eligibility, criminality etc.. but they finished them earlier (eligibility passed on october 4th last year, criminality on july 12th last year etc)..... so hopefully security wont take that much time..

Pre-Arrival message mean you get to know what service could use when you will in Canada. others wise nothing i got in Oct 17 until now nothing change.

So your Background check is in processing from October? It seems too early for you to get a pre-arrival message as per your timeline. Normally applicants get it may be a month before getting DM. Not sure though, NDVO is unpredictable and unreliable.

*Sigh* Hopefully it won’t and shouldn’t for straight forward cases like many of ours!!!!!
These guys just have to start working faster!!

I was just wondering if any June or July applicants from 2017 got their files processed like within 6 months as people keep mentioning about the “Pilot Programs” “Special instructions applied to this file”???
Some May folk received PPR In November and his GCMS notes said “Pilot Program”. So I just wanted to know similarly for anyJune or July applicant?

due date doesn't mean anything, just don't worry about it. Nobody knows what it is for. People tend to assume and define things, don't listen to those. status seems good. For most of the applicants, we are stuck at the security check.

Just curious., since your eligibility is in progress and anywhere it is mentioned, "recommended passed"?

Yes. It says recommended passed at one section.

My file was also part of special 15 files ( at least I can see that term in one of the page of gcms note). But seems like it doesn’t mean anything special

Yes. It says recommended passed at one section.

basically, you are also stuck at Security check. It's common.
