I have good amount of money in CAD and my spouse is doing a good job, We are planning to buy insurance too before travel.Pitt1234 said:You can be asked about multiple things: 1) how would you support yourself for 6 months in Canada (without a job) and asked proof of finances 2) do you have healthcare insurance for 6 months in Canada. And even if you have those two, you would need to demonstrate that you intend to go back after that period.
I don't think staying for 6 months is an issue, per se. But you would need to provide enough evidence for the above 3. If you fail to do so, CBP may allow you stay only for a shorter duration. If you mess up in some way, CBP may even deny you entry (but that will be in the worst case).
Only way I can prove that I will return is to have retrun ticket.
Are you trying to say I should tell them 3-4 months only instead of 6 months ?
