You can be asked about multiple things: 1) how would you support yourself for 6 months in Canada (without a job) and asked proof of finances 2) do you have healthcare insurance for 6 months in Canada. And even if you have those two, you would need to demonstrate that you intend to go back after that period.

I don't think staying for 6 months is an issue, per se. But you would need to provide enough evidence for the above 3. If you fail to do so, CBP may allow you stay only for a shorter duration. If you mess up in some way, CBP may even deny you entry (but that will be in the worst case).

I have good amount of money in CAD and my spouse is doing a good job, We are planning to buy insurance too before travel.

Only way I can prove that I will return is to have retrun ticket.

Are you trying to say I should tell them 3-4 months only instead of 6 months ?

May, if NDVO doesnt ask you for additional documents.

I am just curious what are some examples of additional documents that can be requested?

Hi Everyone,

I am Aug 2016 applicant - 2 days back I got my medical passed. I could see on CIC GC Key website that it says "you passed medical exam"

how much time does it take to get the background check completed and for passport request?

Thanks in advance.

same with me, what does this mean? we are left with ppr only ? no chances or interview now? and how much do you think it will take now?

afaik it means that we are only left with PPR, I think it should come within 1 week.
