There are many cases, where passport are not returned within expected time line.. some of cases took 10 days to get it back and some took 2 days..
Do not worry..

Do we need to send Voter Id Card or Adhar card and SSLC will be ok for this clause for the birth certificate part ?

India – Instruction(s) for documents

Birth certificates issued in this country: If a birth is registered late, include the original baptism certificate and other original documents establishing identity such as:
Old school records (Fifth class, Middle standard and Matriculation/secondary school certificate), and
Voter's ID card.

Send what is asked..
Send the copy of your education (7th),(10th),(12th),( graduation) and the LC with the Voter ID copy..
Do not take chance..

Hey guys my husband has gone to MP office in Canada. Actually the Decision of my Application had been made on 13th Feb 2017 but no Passport request or further communication from Delhi immigration since then.

Upon MP inquiry more than couple weeks ago, the immigration suggested that application has been approved on 13th Feb 2017 and they will request passport soon. Since then no further communication!!!

Don't know what's up with Delhi immigration.

My application was received on 22nd June 2016, medical and landing fee paid at the same time.

Anyone please advice what should we do??? should we go to MP again or show up at Delhi Canadian Embassy in person???

It has been 39 days and counting after approval but no passport request!!! Really worried!!

Any advice please???
