Hello Folks,

Sorry for being out of touch for the last few days. I decided to go to India on a very short notice and ever since couldn't get online. I received my DM (18-03-2017) , PPR (21-03-2017) and have already sent the PP for stamping on (22-03-2017).

Thanks a lot for all your support. I am still in India and will be back to Ottawa next week. Till then communication, if needed will be very very very slow.

when you open your gckey account it shows " Date Read" under the "account messages". There you can check when they are looking on your file.

I just want to confirm something.
I was having lot of issues linking my application when I ordered GCMS notes and realized that they put my husband's marital status as 'single' and mine married :-X
So I checked a copy of my application that I had and confirmed that it was 'married' under his name.So I guess the officer made a mistake.I called CIC and asked if it would affect my application, she asked me to just send them a copy of my marriage certificate through the IRCC web form.I have done it twice already and have not received any acknowledgement or response. Should I be worried?

Most of the time you do not get a response from CIC website portal. I have changed my profile with my new address and it wasn't updated at CIC ECAs. I called CIC and they confirmed it's been updated.
Same experience I had with my SA approval that it's been approved by CIC but on ECAS it was showing in process.
So I think in your case, it might have been received by CIC but I would say give 2-3 more days and wait to update it.
If it's not updated, you can call CIC next week. Do not worry

But I think it is not correct….

Because under “Date read” for application showing Feb 10 2017….But I had document request on Feb 20 and my “BG in Progress” on March 9 2017…so I think I should have March 9 2017 under “Date Read”…

May be not correct …..

I am Nov 2016 applicant (sponsored PR for my wife who is currently in India). I have been checking the file status on daily basis and see the status as "In Process". :-X
Here is my detailed timeline:

Sponsorship Application Status-
Application received: Nov 1, 2016
Application processing started: Nov 17, 2016

Permanent Resident Application Status-
Application received: Nov 1, 2016
Application processing started: Dec 7, 2016

** :Can someone share the current processing timelines? Since I applied in Nov 2016 when should I be possibly be expecting to get the PR :**

We share the exact same time line. Waiting and hoping for the best!

And my “BG went to Progress” on March 9 2017, which is after they received my courier on March 3 2017…..

my cic gckey still doesn’t say that “they have received my documents and reviewing them”…..It still says “document request” (which is same as Feb 20 2017, when I received email document request)

Means they have looked at my documents/ Fed ex courier and started my “BG in Progress” ??

And haven’t updated GCKEY to say that my documents have been received.

Sometimes there server is not updated. I had this conversation with CIC last week and they agreed on same. If you have had an option of signature with your FedEx package, you could see it weather its been received or not.
