In my case ECAS has been updated to Decision Made whereas My CIC says Final decision Not Started just like yours.

A VERY STRANGE THING HAPPENED TODAY.

My backgroud check shows NOT STARTED on GCkey.

But today two randon people visited personally to my inlaws place (a white man and a brown lady).

Only my mother-in law was present at home.

They 1st asked about me as where am i.

She said i m not present as she has gone for a work so they Inquired further with her and asked her question like:

1) when did they get married?
2) Why they did simple wedding?
3) where did your son work and ur daugther in law work?
And many such random question related to my file.

When my mother in law asked why r u guys asking me such question, they said we are inquiring related to the file ur son has kept for SPOUSE SPONSORSHIP.

Please guys advice if such thing happened to anyone or it is some kind of FRAUD??????

MYSELF and MY HUSBAND ARE REALLY WORRIED, IF THIS HAPPENED TO BE FRAUD????

PLEASE HELP GUYS.....................

Are you aware if this happened to anyone? as i googled about personal visit to home and there shows nothing about it.

My husband even called CIC canada to ask about it and they said we dont make personal visits, if needed we call ur spouse for interview or ask questions over the phone. but we dont know if they have started some new process as file is in Delhi Now.

But visiting home in person is real strange..

If it is normal so is it positive sign to my file??

This is weird, never heard about it. The only people should come by should be the cops when u request for PCC........

i never heard about home visit.
but other question is who can know about details of your file??
anyways if they do so i dont need to worry
i hv so many posters of wedding and prewedding at in laws home...they wont doubt at all
Also at home you can show so many proofs like wedding albums,gifts .....etc

if anybody knows about it,please give information, it can happen to anybody...

So I am confused now I applied for my husband from canada application recieved sept 9 2016 and nov 1, 2016 they recieved husband application in delhi and started processing. So now my question is do I count from aept 9 or nov 1 ? Pleaae help me b/c my immigration consulrant said itss from nov 1st so means its only been 4 months or wll be 6 months since I applied for PR for the hubby

They never go to inlaws home....

Where ur in laws are located ?

Sept 9 2016 would be your date to calculate 7~10 months from

But i dont know how they do it...

You know how much man power they need to send people for each and every applicants house for verification, something doesn't add up. Yes NDVO needs verification but they would be sending people out. Just my opinion. Call CIC asap and let them know what happened.
