CIC has requested Police Clearance Certificate even though we included it with the application and has 30 days to respond. My wife is with me on Visa..so I have to apply for PCC here. but I dont know if it will be completed within 30 days. What should I do ?

Thanks

That's bcz you might have got a new passport after you applied for the visa..that's why they are asking for a new passport's PCC.

Thanks for replying. But she has the same passport. It was a multiple-entry visa. Passport also has the stamp for PCC. Should we reply that we already submitted the PCC with proof. ?

I might also face same situation due to name change on passport. Embassy of India in Canada may provide PCC in 30 days but hard to trust on them. What's your plan B ? Do you think I need to get new pcc as of now in assumption that they will ask for it and my wife is with me in Canada.

No the passport has been the same and there is no change. My plan is to send the reply that we already submitted the PCC with proof...but I will still apply for PCC if required and send the email with tracking no...(just in case they take more time to deliver PCC)

Did she live anywhere else for 6 months or more outside of India? How long has she been in Canada? Did they specify Indian PCC. I think your plan is good. Apply for a new PCC and respond to them through CSE and email that you had submitted the PCC upfront (attach a copy) with the application package but have reapplied again for a new one as per their request (share proof of this), however you have been told it may take 30 day or more to receive it. Request an extension to cover the 30 day period.

You can apply from here through the Indian high Commission and it usually takes 10 days. If you request them and explain then situation it may be done sooner. All the best
