Carrying someones passport is not legal even if they are your blood relatives, please have the stamping done in Canadian High commission in Singapore, thats all i would say. Just like people who are in Canada on TRV get their file moved to Ottawa or their local office.
Thanks buddy will try that

Congrats to you, pretend dumb at the port of entry when they ask you as to why you are coming on TRV after your case have been approved, i am assuming that CIC and CBSA are interconnected and they would know if you file has been approved or denied for Immigration.

Just a word of caution thats all, dont mean to startle you

My husband came here on TRV after his PR application was approved and there is no issue.
We received PPR email on 12th dec, he came to Canada on 20th Dec on TRV and same day we sent his ppt to Ottawa for PR stamping.

There you go, that's good news......it's nice to cover all the corner cases. Thanks for your response

Best aniversay gift for tomorrow
Got PPR for my wife this morning at 10 (actually my lawyer just forward it to me). Good luck to all.

When we get passport request email. Does it mention that if you are in Canada, you can send the passport to Ottawa? Do we need to inform first and then after confirmation, we can send it to Ottawa? Can someone send the content of the PPR email, please.

I am waiting for PPR for my wife, who is currently with me in Canada on TRV.

If you have a mailing address in Canada and if you and all the accompanying dependents on your application are currently in Canada and plan to be in Canada for at least three months, you may submit your passport(s) to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa.
You are required to send your document(s) together along with a copy of this letter by mail or courier to the following address with the additional following document:
· A self-addressed, pre-paid Xpresspost envelope from Canada Post.
Purchase your prepaid letter-sized (32 x 24 cm) Canada Post Xpresspost envelope (Regional if you live in Ontario or Quebec; National for other provinces and territories), at any Canada Post retail outlet.

It's always mentioned that you can get it stamped in Canada if the person is in Canada for at least 3 months from the date passport is sent

Isn't this confusing?

If you have a mailing address in Canada and if you and all the accompanying dependents on your application are currently in Canada and plan to be in Canada for at least three months, you may submit your passport(s) to the Case Processing Centre – Ottawa.

So what about travelling to another country for vacation, or going to India and returning back for completing the PR process? How would that work if we need to be in Canada for at least 3 months? Any inputs about this?

Trust me on this.
You can get it stamped if you are in Canada for the period mentioned.
You can go for trips or whatever you want, but if you wanna re enter Canada you. Need PR card or travel document.
The things you mentioned are completely on two different domains.

Jus imagine, you can't travel outside without passport. How would you travel when yor passport is submitted for stamping. In Canada you are a permanent resident but outside Canada you are a person belonging to the country where the passport is originated.
