Thank you AandA, we applied online 6 Nov and got PPR today, so don't know for how long he got it, my guess would be 6 months. I will know once we have PP in our hand. ;D

Ok!! I am so excited for you

Can we submit passport directly to vfs office directly, rather than courier? Any idea? just thinking about faster way.

you should be submitting to vfs directly. direct couriers are not accepted by visa office.

Hello,

We are April 25th applicant for Spouse sponsor. My husband got passport request for TRV. We have submitted the passport for stamping. He will be coming to Canada on Dec 16 - Jan 3. I have below question related to our PR application:

1. Since they have approved our TRV does that affect the processing time on our PR application? I hope they don't slow down thinking they have given us temporary visa to visit. Has that ever happened?
2. Is there PR interview or PR rejection after getting TRV? Do they check the PR file before issuing TRV?

Question 2. If you have received TRV then your husband must have passed eligibility Check. Since he's getting the TRV VISA based on your marriage they will check the PR file to see if eligibility is passed. Once its passed they are more likely to issue a TRV VISA. It is not likely that you will get interview request after getting TRV Visa, Assuming background and security check will be a pass.

Question 1. It may slow your PR process, since background check may show that he's not in the country at the moment but not by any substantical amount of time. but I suspect that since you have applied in APRIL and they are working on APRIL/MAY files at the moment he may get PPR for Spousal Visa even before he leaves India. I would recommend that you wait till first week of next year to travel, tickets are way cheaper plus he will be more likely to be travelling with PR VISA.
