Hi,
It will have an strong impact but, it wont come into affect until Mr.Trump takes control of Oval office. As far as i know the moment a new president is elected, neither current nor gonna be president can change/activate certain rules/laws. once new president is in control, it will depend on Trump and Justin how do they wanna handle the files. As everyone knows Canada is the easiest country to get a PR, but at same time Canada is a neutral country.
So yes it will affect processing times.

Canada is not a neutral country man. it an strongest ally of US. Our economy is heavily dependent on US. Around half a million people are directly and indirectly working on Auto sector alone. If US president elect scraps NAFTA then its big loss to auto sector and our economy will be in depression (our oil sector is already down). So, it doesn't make sense for Americans to move to Canada (maybe Australia). we have to trust our govt and Lets hope its doesn't happen.

Either way it won't affect the spousal applicants.

Keep fingers crossed and hope for best.

Please help... they requested docs for criminality check and we submitted two months before..when i inquire through MP last week they said they have not received requested documents..MP sent again..How long will it take for them to review and get PPR.. everything else has been passed as per GCMS notes..Thank you in advance

This is really ridiculous people applied long after you are getting updates. Just hang in there.
