Hi,

Yes the cic website was down because of volume of applications. But I trust in the Canadian Govt. to prioritise all the application on a first come first serve bases.

If you have already applied and your papers have reached NDVO there is absolutely no worries about the delay in processing times. But if you are waiting to send your application there might be some added wait time.

According to my research USA application are sent directly to Ottawa Processing Centre not Mississauga. So there is still hope that NDVO Spousal Sponsorship wont be affected.

Good luck.

Hi i had applied for my wife's visa on 13th October, got a email of receiving on 3rd November, now i got a email today saying please resubmit your signed sponsorship questionnaire as the signatures were missing, do i post it to them or send it online with the online enquiry portal

Hi,

If you made an online application, you can add a document through your login mycic.

But if you initially made a physical application (physical mailing papers), you will have to take a print out of the request email that cic sent you and the signed form; together should be physically mail with a tracking # and signature-on-delivery method. So that you have an evidence of sending these papers.

When you submit a paper online for a physically made application - cic generally takes up to 20-30 days to get back to you with an answer.

Good Luck.

US folks trying to come to Canada will have to follow the same procedure as we do except that their files will go to the US office (being US Citizens) who want to run away after they got TRUMPED. NDVO wont have any affect from this and even if some Indians apply, their files will be in queue

Feb 8th Applicant.

DM on NOV 5 yet no PPR yet. Wife gave her resignation letter at work and now I'm panicking thinking what if PPR takes a long time to arrive xD
Congrats for the PPR, i don't think 5 calendar days are enough for NDVO to reply back to you for PP request. Enjoy the time off and visit all the places on your bucket list before moving to Canada

My Timeline

File Submitted 31st August 2016
AOR #1 5th October 2016
Sponsorship Approval 19th October 2016
AOR #2 3rd November 2016

Visa Application Centre : New Delhi

How much usually it takes after AOR #2 to get request for Passport?

Thanks
Pooja
Hi Pooja, There's no definite answer to this but the only thing we can say from this forum is that there have been cases who got them in 4 months and there are files still pending for quite a while. We don't want to dis hearten you but 7-9 months is the trend we see so far in a lot of cases. Welcome to the group and stay put.

Hi Pooja,
I agree with the last reply you got, and NDVO seems to be working on March- April 2016 files now so time your app accordingly.

Good Luck

Hi Bimal,

My husband did the same thing, when he received that email (AOR 2), he replied to that email and submitted the documents again (which he wasn't suppose to reply). He never got any reply to his email. So here is my story, i took it normal cause I know AOR 2 is written in very poor english. You can submit web enquiry if you want to.

ok, so i am not the only one.
thanks Bimal.

Hi,
It will have an strong impact but, it wont come into affect until Mr.Trump takes control of Oval office. As far as i know the moment a new president is elected, neither current nor gonna be president can change/activate certain rules/laws. once new president is in control, it will depend on Trump and Justin how do they wanna handle the files. As everyone knows Canada is the easiest country to get a PR, but at same time Canada is a neutral country.
So yes it will affect processing times.
thanks
Bimal

Agreed. USA to CAN applications wont affect NDVO applications. It is 2 different processes.
