Hello Everyone,

I applied for my wife through a lawyer on Oct 26, 2016. I am just wondering, if there is any way I can see the status of my application online? Please note, I have not received any emails yet from CIC.

If you could please provide me the link and share some info on this matter.

Thanks!

Hi,
You can at this stage only track if your application package was received at CPC.You have to wait for the email from CIC regarding receiving of application which may take around 3 weeks-1.5 months and regularly check online status.

There are two ways to go about this,
First u need to wait for an acceptance email which says that we have receieved your file with an application number and a UCI number.
You can go online and into check online status to see the details from this point onwards
Second, Usually it takes 40 business days to get the acceptance for this step and then the file moves to NDVO.
Third, NDVO receives it and issues u AOR2.
You can also go to MYCIC and register the details and link your file for the detailed processing information.

Hey Guys!

Two of my friends who applied in Jan 2016 Got PPR today.
He didn't do any MP enquiry.
Looks like NDVO is clearing the old files from 2016.

Thanks

Hi,

Once CIC send you an email about the receiption of the Application, they will send you a UCI number which will help you locate your file on the Ecas link.
But becuase you have applied through a rep (Lawyer) only he/she can access your file GCKey Notes " Eligibility - Security/ Background Check etc" through an Paid Agent Portal on cic.gc.ca.

Good Luck and be patient! :)

Yes, first line on your ECAS matters and thats what is AOR1 i.e., Acknowledgement of Receipt. Please correct if I'm wrong. :)

:D
First line in your ecas shows the actual date on what they received your physical file via mail. (File Received date).

After they received the file they perform pre screening on Sponsors Part if anything is missing or not. Then they send you an email for AOR1.
AOR1 date is the date when you receive that email from CIC.

Again I could be wrong. Its just my input from what i understand. :) :)

Hi,

You can apply for atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca .do only if you or someone you know is a CANADIAN Citizen.
Or you can go to CIC.GC.CA and search for GCMS. It will take you to the right page.

Thanks
Canadian permanent residents also can apply for gcms notes
