I have asked this question before and didn't get a response and will try to ask once more :P,

1. Does anyone know what "Review of eligibility" means for the PA when the eligibility was done in Canada for the SA.
2. Usually how much time does it take, cuz the background check for my wife hasn't started yet.

I guess once the eligibility is done they will initiate the background which i am assuming is faster than it sounds (3-4 weeks tops) if i am not mistake.

3. Can anyone share their timelines if they have it please?

The CIC website is still down and i can access mycic, are others facing the same?
Please help, anyone.................someone

Decision made from last six weeks... no ppr

1. It just means NDVO is processing the file (work in progress)
2. 6-9 months is standard
3. I am a May 11 applicant, and background check hasn't even started for us yet. You can check the excel sheet for updates.

Oh and I was able to login to both gc key and ecas right now.

Hello everyone,

Got passport back with TRV untill expiry of passport :)

I submitted my TRV application on Sep 27, 2016, and still haven't heard back :( It looks like whoever is looking at my file is on Diwali Vacation. :-X
From which city you belong to in India ? Because one of my other friend lives in Bengaluru and his wife got TRV in 12 days to, Maybe my application is in New Delhi and that's why its taking a while to process.

You might want to call them buddy. Or else do a IRCC webform request. You should have received it by now.

Thanks for the detailed answers but my second question is how long does this step take specifically. Not the entire process. The third question is again about this particular step

They will tell you whats happening with your file, basically they will read the stuff out to you from Online status or MyCiC and that's about it. That's the only number they have and that's it. They also say that they cant push or probe into any file till the processing time has surpassed the mentioned time on their website.

Unfortunate and useless as it may sound, but that's the only thing close enough we have to talk to these folks. BTW, these are not the officers or immigration department people. These are mere operators taking calls.

I know it doesn't help but i just wanted to share it.
