No...!! It's not in email but u can guess the month depending on medical expire or passport expire

Hi all

Just wanted to know if applying initially from India or Canada makes any difference in the processing times of the application??

And i dont think it will be too wrong, taking into consideration the ongoing trends, they also try to make a decision before the medical expires. I have observed it in 3-4 cases.

no it doesn't, it goes through the same set of steps.

any updates today guys?!

So do we have any update for DM/PPR today, for people who have applied from Canada (13 months) or for people who have applied from India (18 months) Lol ;) ;D :P

Looks like no DM or PPR today as well!!! >:( April 20th applicant here and this discrimination from NDVO sucks!!! :-X

Background Check in Process since Friday. No check. What the hell is going on

Its on the visa....expiry date....but my medical was expiring on December 6th and its hardly 1.5 months left...so they mentioned it in email with highlight the text that please do all your arrangements for travelling to Canada as visa is expiring on December 6th, 2016...

Yes it does because there are extra steps in proving the sponsor intends to re-establish roots back in Canada. Also the time required for the application to get from that country to Ottawa vice just arriving there initially. So yes it takes longer by several months. Hence the difference between 13 months and 18 months in the estimates.

Are they processing files that are transferred to NDVO till June 13, as per their backlog plans !!! Hmm just analysis from my side. It's not AOR2 date, the file transferred date. Or the date when your ecas showed "in process" from Received.
