Dependants they mean children? We don't have any children.

Yup, if u don't have any dependants and this application is solely for ur wife then no need to fill anything for dependants !
Ignore

Okay cheers mate. Another question in the generic application for the sponsored person about Do you receive support from your sponsor?. If I say no will it have negative impact on my case?

It helps to provide some information like a joint bank account in India or let them know that your sponsor sends money to you on a monthly basis or he has deposited so much money in the account where in he's supporting you. It only goes to make your case more strong since there is a financial support documented. I dont think u would have to show justification for it but only mentioning it is good.

1. It could delay little bit but not too long.

2. If you're a citizen, you can inform your VO about the birth of the baby and request to CIC the certificate of citizenship, as your child will already be Canadian. See following link for more information regarding to apply citizenship:
http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/germany-allemagne/consular_services_consulaires/citizenship_guidelines-citoyennete_instructions.aspx?lang=eng

If you're a PR, your baby needs to be added to your application. Download the out-land sponsorship package (same as previously), and every form that asks about information about dependent, add the info about the baby. Ask your wife to get a passport for the baby, and add a copy of the passport to the application, and send everything to the VO, so that the baby can be given PR at the same time as the mother. follow this link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse-apply-after.asp

3. MP or PM won't help in this case.

Quick question,

When you say "send everything to the VO" for the new born. What is the recommended way to send information to VO to add dependent to the application (Newborn) ? Can we send it through email or webform or mail ??? Please advise.

Any updates for april applicants????

WHEN should we hear something from NDVO??
Really feeling frustated :'(

I think it can take anything between 6 to 8 months as per the current trend.

My file was transferred to ndvo on aug 23 nd still no communication

Its terrible that we have to go through all this, just because of workload at ndvo. They really need to expedite the process.. wish they can ever understand.

Totally agree with you....God knows when we will be together with our souse.

Quite a few other VOs are really upping their speed. Manila, Hong Kong, Mexico, Warsaw, Singapore, Nairobi, Dar-es Salaam etc etc

I think NDVO also processes refugees (not Syrian but others), Nepal and Afghanistan - including all other economic streams.
Patience during this process is like Oxygen - only way to get through!
