Eligibility check is ongoing
In this stage they check everything like the genuenity of your marriage etc...it will take months at ndvo now but can be done very faster if they want

Ain't it humorous johnybegood..... checking a marriage is genuine or not in states/mexico and few other countries takes only 30 days (infact lesser) whereas in our case they have to drill down layers (regardless it is fishy or not "assuming at-least some files might be very straightforward with no question of doubt"). But hard luck for us (3rd nation countries) where they have made it a consistent trend to take months to proceed for anything which is genuine/fishy

I think the more valid reason is piled up files due to large number of Indian started looking to migrate to Canada which is leading to several months of processing time and over to that many suspicious cases of fake marriages is hammering more scrutiny for all of us. It's not about 3rd nation country, but its about heavy demand for Canadian PR now a days.

Guys - is anyone have an idea whether NVDO has started working on 2016 files after completing majority of 2015 lots?

Does anyone know how to order GCMS notes?

Thanks in advance :)

What is GCMS notes? How can I apply for one and what is the purpose of it?
It's better to apply once NDVO touches your file. Eg. Now NDVO is processing Oct/Nov 2014 files. The purpose is to check on the status of your spous's application. You should definately apply for the GCMS notes now.

Adivced to apply early if your Sponsorship approval is delayed..... and you need to request info about the sponsor and sponsorship.

How to apply GCMS / ATIP notes.

Only a person who is in Canada can request the notes.
If principal applicant is in Canada, he/she can request for himself and apply for free under Privacy Act.

If sponsor is requesting it on behalf of Principal applicant, you need consent form from PA and $5 fee. You can receive consent form from spouse thru email and upload it. Apply under Access to Information Act.

It takes about 30 days to receive by email. It is a ~30 pages document

Hi,

When I try to link my paper application online, it says:

We found one matching application. But a representative has access to it, upload the form to remove him and so on..

My question is : How can my representative access the file. I asked him, he doesn't have access either. How do they check if its me or my representative trying to link the application. I tried with both email address, mine and my representatives email. I get the same message everytime. Did anyone else got this message. What can be done to link the application properly?

Thanks,
Faraz

your thoughts are pretty genuine. How come an officer sitting in airconditioned room acting as GOD and deciding our fate.
secondly, Canada accepting refugee without any proper check
its double standard
they are psudo God

Hi,

I have a two questions about linking accounts.

1. Can you still do it even though we are using a representative? I read somewhere that they don't allow that and it doesn't really give much information beyond the client application status on the CIC's website (ECAS or whatever it's called). What has your experience been.

2. I'm the sponsor and my wife is in India. Can either of us link the application for her or does she have to do it?

Also, I recently joined this Forum. We applied on May 10, 2016. How do I add our information to the spreadsheet.

Ndvo stopped looking at 2016 files :(

Which months of 2015 are they clearing these days?

Hope they soon start evaluating 2016 files and we all get rid off their lethargy :D
