Last week his lawyer received a letter (or e-mail) to submit more photos, I just had a talk with him today.

Ok. It's good that NDVO is picking up March files. I hope they will hit April soon.

Hi Guys,

We didnt submit PCC upfront with our PR application. My spouse needs to submit PCC to NDVO. Do we wait till NDVO asks for the PCC or can we submit them before hand? Which address do we mail the PCC to? Or do we email them? We didnt get AOR 2 from NDVO. Please advise

you can send PCC before hand as it will save your time and delay processing too. As you will get AOR 2 in that it is mention that if you didnt submit,it your PCC & RPRF fees then submit before hand to expedite the processing. Just send your PCC in case specific inquiry.

Hi Folks I had a question regarding application status.

After you send in the application how do you go about checking the status ? I went to the CIC website and their portal for checking status but I do not have a Client ID/UCI, I only have the receipt number RXXXXXXXXX and I punch that in but don't get a status update. Whose last name should I be putting in when checking status ? Mine (sponsor) or wife's ?

As after few days of receiving your AOR 1 you can check your status in eCAS. With AOR 1 you will get application number and you can login using anyone last name and DOB sponsor & applicant.

Bro wait until they physically opens your file for processing
Rt now ndvo is just updating what they have in file from cpc m....so no worries

My local MP said that CIC has got the funding they need and they have hired 200 or more visa officers for this backlog. I asked for a letter for TRV application, but he asked me to wait another month. He told me they are targetting 4-5 months for processing of Spouse visa. So, hope for the best. I will wait till end of this month, then I will apply for TRV. Even TRV is taking a month to process, which I am assuming is due to processing of student visas.

My wife's file reached NDVO on May 2. MP checked its status and they are processing her eligibility. So, her file is in the very early stage.

Hey thats good news PaulU.

Thanks for sharing

Hello,

I am another 2016 applicant.

CIC received my application on the 10th May and I got the first email for case# on May 28. Since then, I have not received any communication from CIC but my application status changed from "Application Received" to "In process" yesterday, July 7. Should I call CIC to ask about the file transfer to NDVO and my spouse's UCI?

Thanks in advance!

This news is somewhat relieving that they are working on at least hiring the staff to clear the backlog of 2015 which would we hope help to fasten the process simultaneously.
All the best!!

True and wish that new staff works on 2016 files simultaneously with 2015.
