NDVO very very slow... no updates on 2016 applicants anymore... I ordered my notes again, hopefully will get some new information.
Ordering notes will not give you any more information other than ....things saying....NOT STARTED

Just maybe they have done something other than NOT STARTED....

NDVO is slow, one of my truck driver friend says an Indian origin Canadian Lady decide most of spouse cases. As per him, she is lonely
and had bitter past experience and reject most files!!!
other Visa office are pretty efficient (Manila, Sydney, warsaw, mexico, ecudor, dakkar......)
NDVO needs reshuffle

can anyone tell me how to obtain GCMS notes?

NDVO is slow that is right, but what your friend says is wrong as no officer can reject files on his/her past experience. As you can see files are not rejected, the process is slow but now it is better than before.

Correct....Its slow because of lack of resources....Harper govt moved all resources towards economic immigration category and created a huge backlog in family immigration files.....the focus has been shifted now but it will take time to clear out the backlog.

can any one suggest me since my online status has not been updated and most of the people have their status online updated . the only status available online is my parents application . i received the 1st AOR through email on the 17th june.

I appreciate if they do fair dealing

Apparently it is only taking 2 to 3 months for 2016 applicants to have their spousal visa and to land in Canada. Has anybody heard about this or witnessed it? Just want to keep things based on facts not rumours.

Yes, I'm one of the lucky 2016 applicants. Waited about 3 months and a bit for application to go from submission to decision made. Definitely a fact!

Hi Guys,

I need some help. I am now able to check the ecas online with applicant details like file number and applicant DOB.

But I am unable to check it using my info i.e. UCI number and my DOB.

Question is: is there any difference in the screens I will see when I login using these two methods? If yes, what is the difference?

My theory is that staff that worked on 2016 applicants was completely different than the one processing 2015 files. I believe CIC reshuffled them to Middle East from May 10 to June 20 to process privately sponsored refugees. Now, I believe CIC has reshuffled them back to ndvo for spousal files and we'll see results of this in 2-3 weeks. CIC released press release on June 13 saying they'll expedite spouse files. It is common for minister to say it to appease people but when CIC itself says without being prompted, I believe they mean business.

Again, all of this is my theory and I don't expect everyone to believe it.

This may be right. Because The notice or statement issued by CIC said they are going to expedite the procedure. So they are going to take the Files which have been waiting since long and that might be one of the case for the new 2016 files from march i suppose for slower process. But I hope that we will reunite with our better halfs by end of this year.

Because it has taken around 50 days for me to get SA and still waiting.
good luck to all.
