I am going to India this August to get married. I know you have to send the police clearance upfront but I was wondering, do I need to send medicals upfront? Or will they ask for it after the file reaches Delhi?

Yes, you have to send the medicals upfront as well. Even of there is anything that can be sent later (like RPRF fees), I would suggest to send it in the beginning with the application. Will save time later.

There is no written set process to get the PCC from India. Your should contact the local SP's office and ask them for it. You can also contact the passport office, they also issue PCC.
How long it will take, will also depend from office to office and person to person. My wife got it in a week but had to go to their office daily. The job was hardly of an hour but you know how it works.

I would highly recommend getting it from your closest passport office. Their process is quite streamlined, it took only 15 minutes for us to get Police Clearance Certificate

You get PCC from passport office in 15mins only if your passport is issued/reissued less than a year ago and police verification was done against that passport at that time.
Else they will say ploice verification is required and a request will be initiated at your local police station.
Police officer will contact you and get the police verification done. you will have to get a form signed from MC and one more refrence and then they will send the report back to passport office
Only then passport office will send you mail/sms that PCC is ready for collection.
Basically its exactly same process.
Even if you apply at sp office , it will come to your local police station


You should go for passport office pcc if your police verification was done less than a year ago.
In that case you will get PCC within minutes.

Its good if you can carry bills also, not mandatory. Make sure that you have listed the gold on the B4 form with its cost.

I am the applicant on spousal sponsorship from Nepal. My application was received by the CIC on October 2013. It’s been 31 months I am still waiting for design on my application it’s already exceeded the average processing time. In 2014 immigration ask me some additional document between me my husband which shows our relationship. We sent these documents on June, 2014. They didn’t set up any interview still now. I have completed all the process as per requested by CIC. I did 2 times my medical both are expire. Recently, again they ask me new medical. we have done. Any applicant from 2013. How long does it takes for passport request after medical report submitted?

Your application has taken much longer time. I've read here that after the earthquake, they expedited the process for people from Nepal. But yours seems to be stuck for some reason. Did you contact your MP? Generally it can take anywhere from a week to a couple of months from re-medicals to passport request.

Hi, I have a question regarding financial support to sponsored person. Is it good to send money and keep the document or no.
If sending, how should we mention in form, in CAD or Indian rupees? How much we should show.

Also regarding my job; I am not working at the moment as I am looking for a better job, so should I explain the same. How much deposit is needed in my account to support myself.
