1) If you are only sponsoring your spouse and no other dependant family members - there is no minimum income requirement.
2) If your application contains any dependant family member being sponsored apart from your spouse - then you need to fill the financial evaluation form.

Hope this helps.

1) There is no minimum income. But if you are not working, do explain your situation how you will support yourself and your husband. Also, if you are on social welfare, you can't sponsor your husband. But most people aren't on social welfare so you should be fine.

2) No, financial evaluation form is not required (unless you are sponsoring a dependant child and even that child has a child )

Any April Applicants who received SA??? The spreadsheet column for SA Approval is empty for April :(

Thank you very much Deepax and Aamm for your reply.

Form IMM5409 is not required either. This form is not applicable if you are sponsoring your husband. Your agent also didn't give you the main form IMM1344 (may be he has sent it to your husband first). Below is the list of all the documents required (I am assuming you are filing outland). See the document checklist and the country specific guide as well.

If your agent is making this kind of mistake at this early stage, you might think about getting another agent. We have seen many agents and lawyers messing up the applications with serious consequences.

Thank you very much Vikram for your help and explaining this to me in detail. I think I will need a second opinion from some other agent.

Also, IMM1344 was filled. I will be getting it from my agent shortly. I will also check the document checklist specified by you. Thanks again for your help

Hello! When you guys look back how long did it take for you to receive your AOR1? Anyone noticed a pattern at all? May 2nd was when they received my application but haven't heard anything yet. But people who have sent in their applications after are getting their AOR. Looks like they are on may 6 applicants.

About 4-5 persons including myself received SA...not a good look for the amount of applicants on the spreadsheet :(

Please speed up the process.
Don't let people stay so far for such a long time from their wife or husband .
Time is so hard to kill .
Please NDVO concerned authorities ...Please look into the processing time how it can be minimized and speed up the process .

All,

My Ecas status (PR side) says that they started processing my file at May 4th. I am counting days assuming May 4th as AOR2 date.
However, i haven't received an official AOR2 letter till now (its been three weeks). Today i reached out to CIC callcentre, she said that she can't help me and asked me to reach out to NDVO
office. So, i sent a email inquiry to NDVO.

What are my options? is anyone still waiting to get AOR2 for long time? Did anybody got AOR2 by mail?

Please advise

PS: I verified the contact details of both the sponsor and applicant with the agent

HI all, In IMM 5490, for question #27. Have you and our sponsor lived together?
Our answer is yes. Next it is asking the periods of cohabitation twice.
From the marriage we were together until I came back to Canada. There is option From -to for dates TWICE

What should we mention.
Please help
Thank you.

It is not asking for the dates twice. The dates have the option to fill in four from and to dates (two in the left box and two in the right box). This is if someone has gaps in between of staying together. So he can fill first from and to date in the first row and the next from and to date in the next row and so on. If you have stayed together for only one continuous period, fill in the from and to dates only once in the first row of the left box.
