1) If you are only sponsoring your spouse and no other dependant family members - there is no minimum income requirement.muskaan24 said:Hi Guys,
Need some help for below questions:
1) Do I need to have some minimum income in order to sponsor my husband?
2) Do we have to fill the financial evaluation form?
1) There is no minimum income. But if you are not working, do explain your situation how you will support yourself and your husband. Also, if you are on social welfare, you can't sponsor your husband. But most people aren't on social welfare so you should be fine.muskaan24 said:Hi Guys,

Form IMM5409 is not required either. This form is not applicable if you are sponsoring your husband. Your agent also didn't give you the main form IMM1344 (may be he has sent it to your husband first). Below is the list of all the documents required (I am assuming you are filing outland). See the document checklist and the country specific guide as well.muskaan24 said:Thank you very much Deepax and Aamm for your reply.
So, my current situation is that I am working and my income is approx 24k per year. Not sure why my immigration agent is filling this form if it is not required. I will let him know about this.
Do you guys have a list of documents which I need to fill? I have below documents sent to me by my agent. Please confirm what all I need to fill out of these please
DOCUMENT CHECKLIST SPONSOR
IMM1283E - FINANCIAL EVALUATION
IMM5409E - STATUTORY DECLARATION OF COMMON LAW UNION
IMM5481E - SPONSORSHIP EVALUATION
IMM5540E - SPONSOR QUESTIONNAIRE
PLEASE HELP
Thank you very much Vikram for your help and explaining this to me in detail. I think I will need a second opinion from some other agent.Vikram18 said:Form IMM5409 is not required either. If your agent is making this kind of mistake at this early stage, you might think about getting another agent. We have seen many agents and lawyers messing up the applications with serious consequences.
About 4-5 persons including myself received SA...not a good look for the amount of applicants on the spreadsheetsuji21 said:Any April Applicants who received SA??? The spreadsheet column for SA Approval is empty for April
It is not asking for the dates twice. The dates have the option to fill in four from and to dates (two in the left box and two in the right box). This is if someone has gaps in between of staying together. So he can fill first from and to date in the first row and the next from and to date in the next row and so on. If you have stayed together for only one continuous period, fill in the from and to dates only once in the first row of the left box.Red1992 said:HI all, In IMM 5490, for question #27. Have you and our sponsor lived together?
Our answer is yes. Next it is asking the periods of cohabitation twice.
From the marriage we were together until I came back to Canada. There is option From -to for dates TWICE
What should we mention.
Please help
Thank you.
