Hello,

I don't think you, as a sponsor, have to get it filled by your wife. As you are the sponsor, you will have access to information to view the progress.
The form is for a third party.

That's what I think. Maybe someone else can correct if I am mistaken.

Thanks for your response Aamm

Hello officer please do update my profile as I am not able to

Application filed 11 January
AOR 22 Feb
SA 9 March
Vo NDVO

CIC Received package 15 Jan.
03 March I received letter saying I am eligible to be a sponsor.
So it took only 1.5 months instead of the stated 2 for the sponsor part.
(I knew I would pass that part as I am Canadian government employee myself!)

Now, I have heard mixed times for applicant from New Delhi. My Mother works with two Indians who had their spouse fully PR in 6 months and 9 months. The online stated timeline for Outcan is 17 months. Both of the two who work with my Mother, they were Outcan applications.
Does anyone else have any real world timelines to get an average?? I have trouble believing it's actually still 17 months total, especially since Trudeau said he would get more people working on family class applications!

Anyone from 2016 whose file has been transferred to NDVO?

My Husband's application was sent to NDVO already. CIC received our application 15 Jan. I received notice of sponsor eligibility on 3 March and that his file was sent to NDVO.

Did you get any correspondence from NDVO ?

Hi Guys

Another small query:

In Sponsor Questionnaire IMM5540 form, question no. 5 : Wt is the highest level of education completed?

I have completed 4 years B. Tech degree
So in college/university > Number of years completed, should I mention 4 or would it be 12years of schooling + 4 years of B Tech total: 16 years??

Thanks for ur replies. :)

The current timelines of New Delhi is approximately 11 months. Nothing has been implemented yet of what Trudeau and his government has said about reducing the timelines of spousal applications, although we do see comparatively faster SAs. We just have to wait and watch.

Not yet.

Hmmm 11 months is still way better than the quoted 17 LOL I'm going back to India all July. If that works out then he might have PR by Oct-Nov timeframe.

I am worried though because at 40 (I'll be 41 in Sept) we don't have a LOT of time left to think about having a child. The longer we are kept apart the less likely we will ever have one. ANd we'd like one. I'm staying all Jul in India. So that's essentially one attempt. But it sometimes takes up to a year! But if we have to wait till after he gets PR, then I'll be going on 42 and the chances are not good. I wish he could get a Visitor Visa in mean time. Wonder if CIC would consider that a humanitarian reason LOL. Really though... I don't want to adopt another person's child. I want my own!

Yes, that's normal. It takes about 2-3 days for it to be updated online.

I got the SA today as well. :)
