Hello T.J

Creating new topics of the same name will bring confusion to users...

Applicants of NDVO 2016 can update this forum...

Spousal Sponsorship does not require income or employment but it will help your application by showing that you can support your wife...

Hello all,

My application filed in mid Jan 2016 was returned yesterday due to some issues with sponsored applicant's mailing address.

I've rectified that and just re-sent the application by UPS courier today (11 February). Should reach Mississauga by tomorrow, 12 February *fingers crossed*

Cheers!

Hello Suhavi,

Visiting your spouse has a positive impact on your spousal sponsorship, so being absent from Canada for the purpose of visiting spouse will get you extra point towards sponsorship but quitting a job has an effect towards your financial, not sponsorship if it is already filed...

suhavi mentioned that she would be visiting her spouse for a few months. If she is a PR (and not Canadian citizen) then this will have a very negative effect on the application. Please correct me if i missed something.

any short term visits being a PR is always fine during the process.. long term visits aren't recommended. sponsor has to stay in Canada during the process. hope it helps!

My file just got received today in Mississauga, and it is probably going to be around 2 month when I will hear anything back.

But It is very very tough to wait :(

Looking at other spreadsheet data, looks like they are taking almost 2 months to open the file.
