Yes, you should do your up-front medical NOW.

The way to send it is via courier writing a cover letter with your name, app#, UCI# and DOB.

You can also send it via Case specific inquiry.

If you don't submit your medical now and wait for them to ask you for it then it will DEFINITELY DELAY YOUR FILE for a few months.

Also, I have heard that they are trying to clear all the backlog by August. After that they might slow their process down to 6 month processing times. Currently for 2016 applicants it is like 2-3 month processing.

My husbands application was just sent in May. He has not done a medical test because we thought we would do it when they request it. I actually just called a clinic to find info about doing a medical now, But the receptionist said since we already sent an application we can't do it in advance until we receive a letter from cic. The receptionist doesn't know what she is talking about. You can get the medicals done now, send the receipt of medicals to CIC/NDVO which will be added to your file and hence they will not need to request you another one. Even in the case NDVO requests for a medical, you have to provide the same receipt again (if it has considerable time left before expiry) and will not need to do the medicals again. You'll need to do a second medical only if the first one is expired (which will be one year after you do it now).

If this physician is not clear on what to do then go to another one. Just tell them you are doing an upfront medical.

If you wait for NDVO to ask for it, it'll add more time for processing your application.

My application is received by cic on june 2, 2016.

I made a mistake filling out a form. I have written wrong UCI # on IMM1344. I just realized it now. Copy of PR Card is attached though.

what can happen with the file now. what are your thoughts ??

So you wrote incorrect UCI of the sponsor. CIC should be able to figure it out. If they can figure it out, they may correct it and send you the correct UCI in AOR1. In such a case you are fine.
But CIC can also return the whole package. If this happens, it'll be before they send you AOR1. You'll have to correct the form, make any other updates and send the package again. They can also ask you to send only the corrected form, which you can send when asked for.

In any which way you can't do anything until you hear something from CIC since your application in not opened yet. You'll have to wait for a response from them.

Oh noo.. I just realized I have also entered this incorrectly. I missed the last digit of my client ID. But I do have PR Card copy attached. Really worried now.

By the time your file reaches NDVO (and you receive AOR2) and if 'Medical results have been received' line is not added in your eCAS, then send the hard copy through courier to NDVO and a scanned one through email.

And practically we will be 20 days late if they return the file. (There is no impact on file for further processing if returned and resubmitted).

Yes they either ask for document ( which seem better option) or they return the application package then it need to be corrected and sent back. It does not put any bad impact on file as it was not yet processed.

the only thing is that they sent it via regular mail which takes time.

You can call contact centre , they may have an update on file even before you recieve it back( in case they return it)

I don't think they will manually correct it by themself in your form( but not sure)
I got my PR application returned as i was missing document, then i resent it

In case of medical missing i guess they will request it later, unless you send it by yourself to them

When you do your medicals, you'll be given a A4 size paper with proof that you have done medicals and a bar code with UMI# on the top right corner of it. That is the receipt I am referring to. You've to submit that to CIC or NDVO. You'll not get the hard copy of your medical report.
