That is incorrect

Answer is New Delhi
I just checked my visa stamp on my passport and it says New Delhi. So, I think it should be New Delhi.

One last question, in the same form there is one more question on which I have doubt. It says:

10. Were you yourself sponsored to come to Canada?

No OR YES

If yes,

What type of sponsorship ( i.e. Spouse, parent, dependent child, other relative) was it?

So, I came to canada in Provincial Nominee Program and my sister sponsored me. It is not a pure sponsorship but I got some points because she sponsored me. Do I need to put that here? I am not sure, please help

If your sister applied to sponsor you, she was approved as a sponsor and then you were approved as an applicant, then she is your sponsor. Mention in the space as other relative - sister and explain under which program she sponsored you.

If you applied on your own and only added your sister as a relative in Canada and got some points, then you were not sponsored.

Thanks Vikram, looks like the first point holds true. So, she sponsored me. But since it was a sponsorship from different province and now I am in Ontario(moved from there), does it make any difference? Or will it have any impact?

Just to be sure if your sister sponsored you, when I say 'your sister applied to sponsor you' it is the same way as you are applying to sponsor your husband. I got a little confused as you earlier mentioned 'It is not a pure sponsorship but I got some points because she sponsored me'. So just be sure that if she filed the application to sponsor you then she is your sponsor.

As for moving to a different province, technically a PR is free to move to any part of Canada. But sometimes provinces do check if the people who came under their provincial program are actually living in the province. How long did you stay in that province?
I don't think moving to a different province will cause any problem. Moreover, you don't have any other choice but to go ahead like this. Don't try to hide anything or show that you still live in that province.

I have a question about pr visa stamping.

My sponsorship app reached March 8
April 1 they started processing
April 12 they approved me as sponsor and sent file to New Delhi
April 22 New Delhi office started processing as updated on website
April 29 New Delhi office sent letter about receipt of application along with air
May 7 or so Dm was made
May 16 they sent passport request to my spouse

My spouse is currently in canada on visitor visa. I have 2 options now. Either my spouse goes back to india and submits her passport there or she stays back and we submit the passport to cpc Ottawa.

In option 2, the concern is I am not sure how long cpc Ottawa would take to return the passport. If they take too long then my spouse's 6 months on visitor visa would complete and we might fall in trouble. Of course there is option to file for extension but we are not sure if that would get approved or not.

It would be great if some one could shed more light on this as to which option is better. Also please let me know how much time is taken by delhi office and by Ottawa office on an average
Ottawa generally sends back the passport in 2 to 4 weeks. Most of the times it is back within 3 weeks, sometimes it takes 4 as well.
I saw your post in the other thread where you mentioned that your wife can stay up till 5th Aug on TRV. She has ample of time to get the passport stamped in Ottawa. She'll most certainly have her passport back by then. In an unlikely situation if she didn't get her passport by then, she can apply for a TRV extension. Apply on paper which takes around 100 days to be processed. By that time she will have implied status and her passport will for sure be back. For worst to worst case, if she has to rely on the outcome of TRV extension, it will most probably be approved.

Don't worry too much, just send her passport to Ottawa.

Delhi office takes around 1 week to return the passport.

I don't think they will return the file for this. You should write a letter to NDVO explaining that you made this mistake and ask if they need you to fill a new form. Send it through case specific inquiry and also email it to NDVO. I am assuming your file is already at NDVO.

Thank you very much Vikram. I stayed in that province for a very little time and then I moved to Ontario. But it's been couple of years for me in this province now. I will make sure to mention this in the form. I was not sure if I should mention this or not. Thanks for your help on this.

You'll have to wait till you get AOR1. Once you get it, mention the application number on the letter and send it through case specific inquiry. See what they respond and act accordingly. As a backup, keep a new corrected form ready, in case they ask for it. Since the form is for the Sponsor it is more useful when the file is here in Canada.
If they do not respond, then send the email to NDVO once your application reaches there.

You're welcome. You don't have to highlight that you are living in a different province. Just mention for question 10 as sponsored by your sister under XX PNP. And then you'll put your address from Ontario. That is sufficient. Don't highlight specifically.
