Yes there is a deadline stating failing to submit the documents might result in refusal of application. It will take longer than the deadline if we apply for it now. Is there any other option like submitting an affidavit or requesting for extension to get the court document.

But the medicals expire on 14th January. Can NDVO send remedicals after Decision made?? or they ll just give visa til 14th Jan..

Even i ve not heard from them since my BG in process on 16 Nov. I think there another 31 March applicant Hemrup, who is waiting to hear like us. Hope we all get it soon. My husband did a MP enquiry and he said that the next review date is set for January 5.

Almost another whole week gone, still BG Check in Progress since 11 Nov. I think my husband is the ONLY applicant left from January-April now on this site who has not gotten DM/PPR.

I have exhausted all avenues now. MP office sent an email to Minister's Office, and no response yet and that's been a week now.

I contacted the Military Attache in New Delhi (they are in the same building) and they said they would look into it, though can't promise that NDVO will give them any info. But since I am a military member, and they work literally down the hall in the same building, they said they would try. No response there either.

I guess my next step is wait till 15 January and that will be one full year and since the Minister has promised 12 months total now, at that point can I call CIC in Ottawa and actually speak to someone on the phone to find out why our file has not been worked on?

Just to clarify, 12 months is for applicants who have applied after Dec 7, 2016. For old files, it will still take the same time. The new 12 months criteria is only for new applicants. Its even updated on CIC website. So don't keep any expectation from NDVO that 15th January, you will get a reply. Just wait and pray that your file gets processed soon. Good Luck..

So they added your name in the spousal name section, but didn't changer her last name right? Cuz changing her last name would have to be initiated by you, the PPO in India won't do it without a written request from the you.

No, we both have same last name so that was not an issue.

Normally when we do a MP Review. There is a set timeline as to how often can the MP make one on your behalf.

That every other In Process application before 7th Dec 2016 will be processed before Dec 2017.
There are files waiting to be processed from 2015 and even further back. And will have an answer before Dec 2017.

Trust me the new development is a good thing for everyone in process and the new ones.

Yes, the news is good for everyone in process and the new ones. But for in process, its max 12 months from now, not from the date we submitted our application (like how Harkirankaur was calculating). Lets hope for the best.

I am confused. My ECAS status shows Decision Made. & CIC link paper appliction page shows background in process , decision - not started.

Has this happend to someone. I know this would be normal for NDVO.
