One important question.

Is it must to have name of husband on wife's passport? As my wife already has passport under her maiden name and she also has visit visa for Canada. As I already got all required documents from her but today one my friend told me that it is must to have husband name on wife's passport before I send application. Please advise me on it .

No its not mandatory to have husband name on wife's passport. Add it in her new passport when old one expired.

Thanks for reply. Because marriage certificate and other proofs are good enough to show relationship if I am not wrong.

Ya thats enough .

My application (Family-Spousal category - sponsor living out of Canada) was received on June 8th 2015, sponsor (Wife) approved on 10th Aug 2015, Re-medicals requested by NDVO on 13th July 2016, PCC and personal information Form IMM5669-Schedule A details of my dependent son (from an earlier marriage) who just turned 18 two month ago was requested on 28th July. Both letters were responded to with requested documents within a few days of request. Thereafter No Change, What to expect next and by when? Anyone.
Thank you

PS : Meanwhile an international student visa has been issued to my son and he joins University at month end.
Does this impact the process by any chance. We had of course informed CIC of the existing PR file when applying for student visa.

Hi

Generally it doesn't take much after PCC being requested but the pattern isn't sure as there are people for whom it has taken more than 2 months.
Rest it also depends on the timeline of your application.

Hi April_29,

Usually it takes approx. 3-4 months more after ADR so you should hear something soon now but currently with the way NDVO is working, it is quite unpredictable when anyone is going to hear back from them. Goodluck !:)

I hope we all will get our spouses pretty soon with us.

PCC was requested on May 26th after Re-meds and was submitted on 8th June. 2 months and 8 days since PCC submission and still nothing so far. >:( >:(
