I guess if one were to be a Begining of Aug or Sep applicant and others from mid and end of those months are getting PPR requests, one can assume their file is flagged for interview or not considered a "straight forward case"? :(

This may sound like a silly question, but here it goes...

How does one receive PPR? By post or by email? I am checking both modalities daily, but to no avail (the status on CIC's website has been changed to 'Decision Made' since April 19th).

Thanks.

Hello All,

Am going to apply for Canada immigration and am a married person.

Can you please help me whether i need to fill the application along with my spouse or later i can do once after filling for me alone and getting PR

In second case, any chances on questions like why you haven't filled along with spouse in visa interviews or some where?

If you have provided email and you got all your correspondence by email from CIC then it will come my email otherwise mail.

No, they are not flagged. Just might take a lil longer than your peers. When is your medical expiring?

You can apply alone first and apply for your spouse (as sponsor) after getting your PR. But it is not an advisable option. You should apply for both (and dependent children if any) together so that your PR comes together. Once both of you get the visa, you can still choose to land first and your spouse can come later (before the expiry of visa). If you apply alone, then you will have to come to Canada (after getting PR) and then only apply for your spouse's PR and you may have to stay away from your spouse for many months.

If you choose to apply alone, make sure you declare your spouse (and any dependent children) on you form as non-accompanying, otherwise you'll never be able to sponsor them ever. There is a chance it can be questioned, but you can explain your reasons.

Is there any specific reason why you don't want to include your spouse in your application?
