NEW DELHI - 2015 SPOUSAL VISA APPLICANTS

Hi guys, My Spouse's stamped passport has arrived to local VFS office Ahmedabad, but she is not in the town for next three days.

Is there anybody knows, somebody else can pick up the passport from VFS or not?

well this is what we called WTF.....Got notes....said I am satisfied with all the proofs.....first marriage...age group same..great communication proof of calls and chats...sufficient photos of all wedding events and rituals.....but short interview recommended ....WTF is short interview and why....are they trying to fill any quota ???

I'm reading all the posts here and can anyone explain me what is AOR 2 ..I understand acknowledgment of Receipt-1 , i.e when NDVO sends a correspondence to the person being sponsored that they have received the file ..What is AOR 2

If someone else has to pick up your wife's passport, your wife need to give a signed authorization letter and a copy of her photo id, to that person. That person will also need to carry one of his/her own photo id proof.

Here is the timeline for my spouse.

Application Received: 24th April, 2015
Upfront Medical Submitted: 4th April, 2015
AOR 1 : 15th May, 2015
Sponsorship Approved: 25th June, 2015
AOR 2 : 26th June, 2015
In process: 9th Oct, 2015
Re-medical requested: 10th March, 2016
Re-medical submitted: 14th March, 2016
Decision Made: 4th April, 2016
PPR: 4th April, 2016
PPT back: 8th April, 2016 (expected)

Summary, It took almost a year to complete the procedure.

Wishing you all the best, and hope they speed up the process for everyone...
