Hi guys...
I have been reading a lot of anxious, worried, frustrated messages from April/May members and I just want to say to everyone here.. please dont worry.. your turn will come soon too... Believe me when I say I know how you feel and how hard this 'waiting' period.. I was in your shoes just 1 week ago.. Nervous, frustrated and so stressed out.. this process that has put a pause on our married life has affected my health so much.. But now that we are done with it (still waiting for the passport) I am so relieved and happy..
I felt like sharing this.. just so you guys know you are not alone and please dont compare your timelines to other people.. I encourage being proactive and mindful of your timelines and doing the necessary enquiries (MP enquiry or GCMS notes) as required but since we know CIC doesnt have a very clearly laid out strategy that they use to evaluate and process our files, each person will have a different experience. Let me give you all my example:
I met my husband when he came to study in canada.. he studied and worked here and left for India after his work permit expired..we got married in India and I came back and then filed for sponsorship. We got remedical request on Jan 28 and a lot of people who got their remedical requests after us got DM+PPR 1-3 weeks before we got ours.. I was worried and anxious too but my MP office was very cooperative.. at my request, they did an enquiry in Jan last week and march 1st week for me and the updates gave me some comfort.. so we got our DM 6 weeks after remedicals..
I am just sharing my experience to give hope and faith to those waiting..
good wishes and prayers for all!
