Hi Guys,

just wanted to update the forum. I landed in Toronto on Friday, March 4th. The landing process was really simple and easy. My husband was waiting for me at the airport and even he was surprised how soon I was able to come out of the airport.

I had carried many many documents to be over prepared but none of them were required, only the Passport, COPR and the disembarkation card -- which is given on the flight before landing in Toronto)

The immigration officer did not even ask me any questions. He simply checked over my documents and then asked me how much of currency I was carrying and how much expensive goods I was carrying.

After that you get sent to another counter where I had to show the COPR and the disembarkation card and passport. He noted down my address in Canada and told me that the PR CARD would arrive in two months.

After that I was given a SIN card number and instructions with how to apply for the OHIP Health Insurance card.

Then I picked my baggage and "viola" I was out of the airport!!

DM/PPR took us 11 months and I landed in Canada almost a year to the day that I submitted my application.

My full timeline is on the spreadsheet.

Best of luck to everyone, and you are always in my thoughts.

Also, I understand that they are currently sending out re-meds for applications from January to April 2015, so mine is at least a month away. However on the website my status is still "Application Received" :(

My application has still not gone "in process"! I have no clue why :-X

Can someone please tell me why could that be?

you can add the above info in your profile after writing 10 posts.
Hopefully Mike can add you to the 2015 spreadsheet (see the link in my signature below for the spreadsheet).

Find your your local mp in area. Approach the staff via email or phone call and ask them to contact ndvo regarding your case when the time is right.
They will ask for details regarding your file. Then you will get an update from them within 5 days as per your where your file stands.
You can also apply for notes which take 30 days to generate to get a idea of your file.
Mine these forums you will find lots of information regrading your question.
Best of luck.

I was under the impression that you need a federal MP to do the inquiry.. no?
