Hi Guys,
just wanted to update the forum. I landed in Toronto on Friday, March 4th. The landing process was really simple and easy. My husband was waiting for me at the airport and even he was surprised how soon I was able to come out of the airport.
I had carried many many documents to be over prepared but none of them were required, only the Passport, COPR and the disembarkation card -- which is given on the flight before landing in Toronto)
The immigration officer did not even ask me any questions. He simply checked over my documents and then asked me how much of currency I was carrying and how much expensive goods I was carrying.
After that you get sent to another counter where I had to show the COPR and the disembarkation card and passport. He noted down my address in Canada and told me that the PR CARD would arrive in two months.
After that I was given a SIN card number and instructions with how to apply for the OHIP Health Insurance card.
Then I picked my baggage and "viola" I was out of the airport!!
DM/PPR took us 11 months and I landed in Canada almost a year to the day that I submitted my application.
My full timeline is on the spreadsheet.
Best of luck to everyone, and you are always in my thoughts.
