Yes one year is a lot of time and quite valuable for younger folks. CIC probably has to modify the process/policy.

Just my two Cents lol..

1) Grant a TRV for spouse. No PR. Grant Open Work permit
2) Monitor the relationship in Canada for 1 Year - Ask proofs of ongoing relationship
3) Grant a Conditional PR for 2 Years or reject
4) Monitor the relationship - Ask proofs of ongoing relationship
5) Grant a full PR or reject

There can be loop holes in this process but can be streamlined and made stable.

The biggest downside is that an inland person can find a few other options to avoid deportation. Cost is another factor but fees can be hiked to cover costs.
its a good idea ,but our people can also destroy this idea if applied ,bcoz as we can see ,,in news a recent case "a canadian women s sister married to her father in law to reach canada ,,these kinds of fraud marriages keep on happening in punjab and immigration is gettin strict and strict and becoming a problem for genuine relationships,,,still no solution

guys please be a little positive, think of the 2014 people who still havent got dm and have to undergo interview. we all are in the same boat. i dont know how u will go through the entire process with this negativity. its gonna exhaust u, be creative, enjoy this time as a courtship phase. its all about your perspective, how u look at things. cribbing is not going to reduce the time your file will take to process. keep urself busy with stuff. ideal mind is devils workshop. make a plan what u gonna do in canada, its not like u will be going on vacation, we gonna live there so plan ur career ahead, get studies evaluated. take up some course, learn something, do certifications or something that can help u in future.. else ur laptop as ur teacher. their is so much stuff on google and youtube. u can find complete tutorials. its in ur hand how u spend this time. u can divert ur energies into something positive or u can wait this opportunity and waste it.......... i also might have not utilized it to the fullest but still i have done something that i can help my career. so not talking in air or something......

NDVO officials are doing their work, its hard for them as well. u need to understand that they get so many applications annually and earlier like any other country canada also used to grant spouse pr in 4 - 6 months. but its because of Indians especially north Indians that they have to be cautious... cant put all the blame on them.....

Can someone please help me ??? I am getting a bit troubled due to my situation

All those lucky folks who have got PPR (passport request) --- how long does CIC give you to submit the passport ?

Can anyone share the actual PPR letter/email with us? (after removing your personal details from the letter, of course)

Much appreciated !!!
Here you go !!!!

Dear Applicant, xyz

This is in reference to your application for permanent residence. To finalize your application, we require:

1) Passports
VFS is our trusted partner for safe and secure passport transmission. Using VFS services is the only way to submit your passport. Contact VFS in India (www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/india) or in Nepal (www.vfsglobal.ca/canada/Nepal) and pay the requisite fees for the Passport Transmission Services . A separate envelope is required for each passport.
Please take this letter and present it to VFS for the purchase of the secure Passport Transmission Service. VFS will send your passport to the High Commission of Canada in New Delhi in a secure envelope. You will then be advised by VFS when your passport has been returned and is ready to be picked up.
Please note that permanent resident visas cannot be placed in Diplomatic, Official or Military passports.
There must be at least two blank pages in each passport.
We are unable to issue a visa beyond the expiry date in your passport. You passport must be valid for at least six months.

2) Photographs

I got call from them around 12 pm ... I can't tell you how humble and polite and helpful that person was .... you will not believe even I can't imagine he called me back to tell that ppr has been sent to your email ( even he told me time which they sent ) .. that's unbelievable .. I requested him something he couldn't fulfill that but way he spoke and deal with me was simply amazing ... never thought visa officers were that good .
