Congrats to all who got updates n best of luck for the rest!
I am Jan 21 applicant, re med done on 15 Dec 2015 after that no updates.
And today got response of MP enquiry as below:

Your file was received in January 2015.

It is currently at the Delhi Office in India for processing.

Eligibility and medical has passed.

Security and criminality check will be done.

No additional information is required as of now.

Your file is being processed, the regular time for processing is 17 months.
 
Hi m New on this forum I applied for spousal visa in Sep 14 ngot approval from Canada n file transfrd to Delhi on 18 Nov 2014 ...From Aug 2015 status is sane medical have been received.... .now suggest me how much time I 'll hav to wait ....should I go ft remedical...

Hey Nazeef, that is a good response, much better than what some others have been getting lately.
Eligibility is the biggest thing in spousal sponsorship application and if that has been passed then you can be almost sure that you're good to go.
Criminality and security are apparently an issue for small city Indian nationals as well since these guys need to check and verify all documents that we send them, so it is expected to take even longer for other nationals applying through India viz Afghans and Nepalis. I know the wait can be frustrating especially when others who applied around the same date as you get positive updates and you don't, but be strong. Even if they decide to drag your case for 17 months, you have completed almost 14 months and it won't take much longer. Stay positive.

You shouldn't go for remedical unless you are asked to or you are scheduled for an interview.
Have you ordered notes and checked if maybe you have been recommended for interview?

I also did MP enquiry they said Background and criminality not started yet .......it will take long? Because elibility and security done.

Hope NDVO create PPR storm now... and clear all the backlogs and other applicants like us.. :P

Good Morning , I just checked , my wife also got her PPR :) :D :D ;D. Finally long waiting period going to end.

Going to see my kids and wife soon.
Congrats for all those who ever got the DM,PPR's.
I wish every one gets their PPR's soon.

Yeah don't worry eligibility is the biggest thing and if that is clear then you're almost at the end. Unless you are a criminal of any sorts you don't have to worry about criminality. (That was said in a lighter tone) And I guess background checks depend on your residential locations in the past 10 years..sometimes information can be gathered quickly, sometimes not.. you know how it is in our country. With eligibility passed atleast you know that they don't have any doubts about your relationship, so relax and wait patiently. There are many applicants who applied before you and they are also waiting. So no reason to worry.
