Any update on march files??????????

Sorry, I might be being ignorant here, but I wanted to know whether an Out Land Spousal application enable the spouse the right to enter (on visitor visa) Canada after phase I i.e. assessment of the sponsor.
I am aware of this notion that if your Spousal Application is in process the chances of getting a visitor visa are diminished.

Thank you.

Third day after DM, still not PPR. I dunno how long it takes for them to send an email...

I am worried that you might have got a refusal(which a letter might arrive to you soon). this is because DM normally comes after you get Visas stamped, unless when you are from visas exempted countries or if they refuses you.

On the other hand they can't refuse you without give you a chance for interview or present additional proof.did you order your GSM notes? or maybe there might be a problem with your eligibility such as criminarity, security, etc... in this last case I don't think even they would need tall interview.

Stay Positive , Things will come on your way .

I do remember , even for my PR years back . First I got DM , later a week after I have received PPR

It can't be that they refused our application. We got the notes and stuff, and we passed the eligibility, interview waived (genuine relationship), and got re-medical request at the end of November. So yeah I'm 100% sure it's been approved. Just dunno how long it will take them to send the PPR. I think someone also had the same situation where they got DM and then got PPR a week later or something.

Edit: We also didn't get any additional lines in the ECAS (which normally happens when they send physical correspondence). Also in case of a rejection, would they send a letter instead of an email for correspondence?

Edit2: According to the notes, apparently the visa officer sent out email for re-medical on 16th November, but we didn't get it till the 24th. So that's weird as well.

Hello folks, the processing time for outland applications is back to 18 months which includes the 62 days long process of sponsor approval. I am guessing CIC just made a mistake stating it to be 26 months yesterday. I can honestly say, I have never been happier with a corrected typo! lol

Oh, wat a relief. I wasnt able to sleep when i saw the processing time was 26 months. Thanks for the information

My complete time line is

1. We received your application for permanent residence on February 11, 2015.
2.We started processing your application on June 12, 2015.
3.Medical results have been received.
And the additional documents which they asked for was my daughters pictures and full birth certificate with both parents name on it.

I sent them all but still no update or email.
