Everybody knows there's no limit to student visas.. this must be a parameter used for measuring the immigration success..

Yes, you are right there. These are targets rather than limits. But what happens when they reach these targets? do they still keep on giving visa?

Please help, will it take a full year to get visa i.e in april/may 2016?
 
I assume they would continue giving the visas.

There are certain categories like Express Entry and PhD stream which have well defined limits (single number like 1000) rather than target ranges (like 10,000-12,000).

My timeline is exactly same as your's,except for the s.a email which v received on 24 th august....so delay in email notification is normal n usual thing fr cic....so our long waiting time has jus started....

Its very hard to say though we did see the applicants from Nepal being prioritized but that didn't affect the overall 8-10 month timelines.
Us for example got the re-medicals as predicted and interview waved and that too in what I like to call it the sweet spot - 8 to 10 months.

CIC will not issue more visas if they reach their target/limit . target is good word which cic uses to say "limit-no more", just as PNP.

rather than checking history, check stats, 2014 has 500 applicants from NDVO, who shared timeline. this year its not even 100 on moth of october.

The re medical loop happend because of these huge numbers in 2014.
CIC will most likely slow down for PPR to not exceed target/limit, but they will process files and make PPR rain in January-Feb. I will bet you on this. wait till February and we will see change.

I sure hope you are wrong for the older applicants :) I cant imagine waiting till Jan/Feb to be issued the PPR. From what I have seen people have been averaging a month and a half after getting the re-medicals.
 
Hi Guys: Does anyone know, when we receive the notification that your file has been transferred to NDVO. So, does it mean physical transfer or electronic transfer of the file?

I submitted my application on 31st August. Lets c how it goes.

Hope the process gets faster this year. :)
