I am not sure what is happening with my application. I am outland NDVO applicant. Received SA on 8 May and still no AOR and no updates on ECAS not even the medical received update. Should I be worried?

and I see that all other NDVO (most of them) have got AOR2. Request: Can you please share how did you receive your AOR2 and what information is contained in the communication?

It usually contains a new UCI for you obtained from NDVO. The one in SA was for your sponsor. But that one shows status of both yours and sponsor and in sponsor column it should show DM (decision made)many in yours it will show application received.

Hello All...My sponsor applied for me as a spouse sponsorship. When applied we dont have each others name on passport. Is it complosory to put names. And if yes thry will issue new passport but my problem us that we have already submitted passport details and if we apply for spouse name then new passport number and its time of issue n expiry will change. Please someone suggest me what to do in that situation. Thanks

We applied for my wife's TRV and got it approved as well. She will be visiting in Oct/Nov timeframe hopefully.

I thought its a genuine question as I have seen people who apply for their spouse name in passport after marriage. And this is a forum where we can clarify our doubts. So its wrong to say that the question is crazy. It was just a question that should one has to add spouse name in passport or not after marriage?

Yes it's a genuine Idea, but not mandatory if you have other documents to show your relationship.

you can submit a copy of a document to the immigration office by adding your spouse name on passport, it is one of the proof for relationship evidence.

you can show below are the documentary evidence for your relationship !!

Spouse Documentary evidence can include:
 a completed Spouse/Common-law Partner Questionnaire (IMM5285)
(included in the application package);
 a marriage certificate;
 proof of divorce if either the applicant or spouse was previously married; and, evidence that the applicant lives with the sponsor, such as mortgage,lease
 other documents showing the same address for both, e.g. government-issued identification documents, driver's license, insurance policies.
 If the applicant and sponsor have children in common, long-form birth
certificates or adoption records listing the names of both parents

Evidence may also include:
 wedding invitations and photos;
 Proof of joint bank accounts, e.g. bank statement or a letter from a financial institution; documents from other institutions or other government authorities, such as the Canada Revenue Agency, that indicate a marital relationship.

We were waiting for any answer more than 1 year, but have not received anything from immigration, then we came to USA, now my lawyer says that my case got canceled automatically, my question is, Can I get my money back that I payed for visa? Did you tried to NDVO to check about your file status ?? Before canceling your application ,NDVO will conduct interview and then cancel your application ?? what is the reason of cancellation ?? you will get only Landing fee.

I am in the final stages of filling out an outland application. My wife did her up front medical on 29th in New Delhi and the staff there told her to make sure that the application is filed with a week. Now I am missing a few things due to which I am not able to send in the application within that time frame.

Is this a big deal? Do I need to be worried? Or does it not matter when my application gets there?

Medical is only Valid for a year, even if you apply in few month it shouldn't be a problem. Just that if it seems like that it will be taking beyond the expiry date for your Medical, they will ask you to do re-medical. Most cases it takes about a month to send application after medical.
